Privacy policy

This policy explains what information CordisPlugin may process, why it is processed, and the choices available to visitors.

Effective and last updated:

The public site currently has no user accounts, advertising, payment flow, or first-party analytics database. Hosting infrastructure may still process essential request and security logs.

Scope and operator

This policy applies to cordisplugin.com and its localized pages. CordisPlugin operates this independent informational website and plugin directory.

For privacy questions, contact privacy@cordisplugin.com.

Information we process

You can browse the site without creating an account or submitting a profile. The application does not currently operate a user database.

  • Request and security data: IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer, timestamp, response status, and diagnostic events processed by hosting infrastructure.
  • Preference data: language is represented in the URL. Copy-button state is temporary in the browser and is not sent to a CordisPlugin account.
  • Public repository data: repository owner names, project descriptions, topics, licenses, activity, and links obtained from publicly accessible GitHub sources.
  • Messages you send: contact details and content voluntarily provided in a correction, privacy, or legal request.

Purposes and legal bases

Data is processed only when needed to deliver pages, secure the service, diagnose failures, maintain accurate directory records, respond to requests, and comply with applicable law.

  • Service delivery and security: legitimate interests in operating a reliable public website.
  • Responding to messages: steps requested by you and legitimate interests in handling correspondence.
  • Legal compliance: processing necessary to meet applicable obligations.
  • Optional analytics or non-essential storage, if added later: consent where required.

Cookies and analytics

CordisPlugin does not currently set advertising cookies, behavioral profiling cookies, or first-party analytics identifiers. The site does not include an advertising network or analytics SDK in the current application.

Hosting or security providers may use strictly necessary mechanisms to route traffic, prevent abuse, or maintain sessions at the infrastructure layer. If non-essential analytics or advertising is introduced, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated before activation.

Service providers, sharing, and transfers

Hosting, DNS, security, and deployment providers may process limited request data on CordisPlugin’s behalf. Public plugin links send you to GitHub or maintainer-controlled sites, which apply their own privacy policies.

CordisPlugin does not sell personal information. Data may be disclosed when reasonably necessary to protect the service, investigate abuse, comply with lawful requests, or complete an operational transfer with appropriate safeguards.

Providers may process data in countries outside your own. Applicable contractual, statutory, or provider safeguards should be used where required.

Retention and security

Request and diagnostic logs are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting, and hosting operations, subject to provider configuration and legal requirements. Correspondence is retained while a request is handled and for a reasonable recordkeeping period.

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used, but no Internet service can guarantee absolute security. Never send secrets through public issue trackers or ordinary email.

Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also be entitled to complain to a competent data protection authority.

Send requests to privacy@cordisplugin.com and identify the relevant interaction. Identity verification may be requested when necessary to protect data from unauthorized disclosure. Rights are subject to applicable exceptions.

Children’s privacy

The site is intended for a general developer audience and is not directed to children under 13. CordisPlugin does not knowingly collect personal information from children through accounts or profiles. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so it can be reviewed.

Material changes will be reflected on this page by updating the effective date. Continued use after an update means the revised policy applies to later use.
